What man doesn’t see; God does!
Have you ever felt like you or your life were “out of order?”
What does that mean? Here is an analogy that might help clarify the question. “You are craving that chocolate bar or bag of chips, you head over to the vending machine, and suddenly you gasp, your heart sinks, right there in front of your eyes…a piece of paper that says, “Out of Order” and you get nothing.
I ask again, “have you ever felt like you or your life were out of order?”
Let’s put it into perspective with our lives. You are a good person, you work, you give to others, volunteer, live right and do good for others and received zero acknowledgement? How many times have you succeeded at something big only for it to go unnoticed? Have you compared yourself to someone else and felt the others achievement was better? Others get the accolade, and you get nothing, that’s what we see (sometimes) right?
Now before you think or say anything derogatory, I agree, yes, we are supposed to do some things in life without expecting anything in return as far as accolades or acknowledgement. I get that…we are human beings though and you know as well as I do, everyone wants to hear “Great Job” or “Thank you for all you do” and so on, it’s part of our human nature.
One day on a walk, listening to music and taking in nature, I realized what I was seeking was “out of order” for what God wanted for me. It wasn’t meant for me to have what I wanted in that moment. Just like the chocolate bar or the bag of chips, it was not meant for me to have it when I wanted it, so I received nothing.
When everything feels right, looks right, and heading in the right direction, we are on top of the world and ready to take on anything in our path. We are positive and upbeat. Then suddenly, your world crashes, you don’t get the responses you hoped for, you don’t get the “likes” or the “notoriety” and you find the results were empty. Your heart sinks, and you wonder why.
…There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens. Ecclesiastes 3:1
Why God? Why not now? Why not me?
Here’s the truth…God sees way more than we do. Not everything that you see in the world is true. There is not one individual in the world that isn’t hurting or has not gone through struggles. We are all the same in that reference…it’s just different for each of us.
Stop looking at social media, stop scrolling, stop comparing yourself to others, God sees everything, and His timing is perfect. Keep shining bright and you will receive the greatest reward of all…it’s in HIS time!
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
